Yin to Open the Side Body | 60 Min Slow Yin

We rarely stretch the sides of the body, yet that's where so much tightness quietly collects, along the ribs, the waist, and the long line from the hip to the underarm. This hour long Yin practice gives that whole side channel the slow, sustained attention it needs to open. Working entirely on the floor, we settle into long, supported holds that lengthen the waist, free the ribs, and create more room to breathe. As the side body releases, the breath tends to deepen on its own and the lower back and outer hips begin to soften. Expect stillness, slow transitions, and time in each shape for the deeper tissue to respond. Good after long hours at a desk, or any time you feel collapsed, compressed, or short of breath. Props are optional but welcome if you have them: a bolster or pillow, a couple of blocks, and a blanket to help you settle and stay a while. No experience needed, and the practice is open to all levels. Move slowly, listen to your body, and never push into sharp pain.
