BB18 ¼ 1079 - Carnival of Flowers Steam Train to Toowoomba - 19/09/2015

On Saturday 19th September 2015, steam locomotive BB18 ¼ 1079 headed the Australian Railway Historical Society's annual steam train excursion to Toowoomba for the Carnival of Flowers. The train ended up arriving into Toowoomba almost 4 hours later than scheduled due to the assist loco 1620, failing enroute between Murphys Creek and Holmes crossing loop whilst assisting the steam train up the range. Two of Queensland Rail's 2400 class locomotives were dispatched from Warwick where they were conducting a tuition train and were sent to retrieve the stricken train and help it complete its journey up the range.
