Why this recipe will win your heart: The secret of perfect layering: The special method of folding the dough and gently chilling it in the freezer creates dozens of wafer-thin, feather-light layers inside. A texture to fall in love with: a crispy, golden sugar crust on the outside and a fantastically soft, tender crumb on the inside that literally melts in your mouth. An absolute all-rounder: These rolls are a delight on their own, but are also perfect as an accompaniment to morning coffee, afternoon tea or as a light dessert. The buttery-smooth scent instantly fills the whole house and creates pure coziness. Does Does that sound complicated? Absolutely not! Just follow me step by step – the preparation is a lot of fun and the result will have your loved ones asking for help again and again. They disappear from the table faster than they can cool down! Recipe: 500-550 g wheat flour (4 cups). 2 tablespoons of sugar. 20 g fresh yeast (1 oz). 250 ml warm milk (1 cup). 1 egg + 1 egg yolk. 80 g butter (2 4/5 ounces). 5-6 g salt (1/2 teaspoon). For the filling: 100 g butter (2 1/2 oz). Knead the dough and let it rest for 60 minutes. Shape the rolls as shown in the video. Brush with a mixture of egg yolk and olive or vegetable oil. Bake at 180 °C (356 °F) for 25–30 minutes. Have fun baking!
