HIDDEN GEMS ON THE EYRE PENINSULA | OFF THE BEATEN TRACK

Pildappa & Tcharkuldu Rock. These two massive granite giants might be the Eyre Peninsula’s best-kept secrets! EPISODE 90 In this episode of Wingin’ It Downunder, we head off the beaten track on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula to discover two underrated “Rock Legends”. Often nicknamed the “Little Wave Rock”, Pildappa Rock is an incredible granite formation with a natural wave shape that’s well worth the visit. We spend time exploring the massive rock, walking across its surface, and taking in the epic views from the top, while checking out the unique features that make this rock so special. After soaking it all in, we continue on to Tcharkuldu Rock, where we set up camp for the night. This peaceful and scenic spot offers a great camping area, and we’re treated to a beautiful sunrise, with soft morning light glowing across the rock – the perfect way to start the day. Tcharkuldu also has a fascinating piece of outback engineering attached to it, adding even more character to this already unique location. If you love getting off the main tourist trail, these two hidden gems are definitely worth adding to your travel list.
