DH45 - Toowoomba to Warwick and Return - 20/04/2024

On Saturday 20th April 2024, the Southern Downs Steam Railway operated a day tour originating at the historic Toowoomba Railway Station to Warwick, where the railway operates from. Upon arrival at Warwick, passengers enjoyed lunch on the platform and were able to inspect the historic railway station prior to extensive renovation works commencing. The return journey was made mostly in wet miserable weather where an on time arrival was made into Toowoomba. The railway's Diesel Hydraulic Locomotive, DH45 was the motive power for the day as they are now without a steam locomotive until the extensive works on their C17 steam locomotive are completed.
