The situation you cannot change, the person you cannot reach, the outcome you cannot force? In this gentle morning prayer we open our hands together and let God take what was never ours to carry. We rest in 1 Peter 5:6-7, where God asks for all of our worries and cares, not because we failed, but because He cares about us. We hear Psalm 37 breathe the same invitation, commit everything to the Lord and He will help you. We stand beside a mother in Exodus 2 as she places her baby in a basket on the Nile, opens her fingers, and discovers that God was already downstream, and that what left her hands never left His. And we hold onto Isaiah 41:13, the promise that the same God who takes what we release also holds the hand that released it. This is a prayer for the exhausted fixer, the quiet controller, the one who loves so deeply they forgot how to set anything down, a soft place to let go, and let God handle the rest.
