What if the road you are walking today already has Someone keeping pace beside you? In this morning prayer we rest in the quiet protection of a God who covers what we cannot see. We listen to David in Psalm 27, where the Lord is our light and our fortress even when a mighty army surrounds us, and we follow that thread to the road to Emmaus, where the risen Jesus walked mile after mile beside two grieving travelers who could not recognize Him, then to Hagar in the wilderness, whose eyes God opened to a well that had been there the whole time, and finally to Isaiah 41:10, where God promises to hold us up with His own victorious right hand. This is a gentle, prayer-forward devotional for the dangers you cannot anticipate, the roads you cannot read, and the quiet fear of facing it all alone, a prayer to walk into your day covered, accompanied, and unafraid.
