Cotswold Festival of Steam 2026 - Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway (GWSR)

The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway (GWSR) presents its major annual steam gala - The Cotswold Festival of Steam. The home fleet of locomotives are joined by a number of guest locomotives to work an intensive timetable over the three days of the Whitsun Bank Holiday weekend. Guest Locomotives: Southern Railway ‘Battle of Britain’ 34070 “Manston” BR Standard 2MT 78022 Caledonian Railway ‘439’ class carrying LMS livery and number 15189 LMS ‘Black Five’ 45110 Great Eastern Railway class 209 (LNER Y5) no 229 Great Western Railway diesel railcar no 22 Home Fleet: GWR 2800 class no 2807 GWR 2884 class no 3850 GWR ‘Grange’ class 6880 “Betton Grange” Filming takes place at various stations along the line - Toddington, Winchcombe, Broadway, Gotherington and Cheltenham Racecourse. The film also includes footage shot on board a brake van behind GWR 3850.
