Heatwave Survival Guide (India) | What to Eat, Drink & Avoid + Cooling Papaya Salad

Indian summers are getting hotter every year especially during May, June, and July. If you’re feeling tired, dehydrated, or low on energy, your diet might be the reason. In this video, I’ll show you: What you should eat & drink to stay cool and hydrated Common mistakes people make in summer A simple, no-cook, high-fiber cooling papaya salad recipe This is not just a recipe, it's a heatwave survival meal designed to keep your body light, hydrated, and energized. Recipe Details Ingredients (1 serving): 1 cup raw papaya ½ cup cucumber ¼ cup carrot 1 tomato ½ cup sprouts 2 tbsp roasted peanuts Few basil leaves Spicy sour dressing 1 tbsp lemon juice 2 tbsp tamarind water 1 chilli 1 small garlic clove 1tsp honey Method: In a mortar & pestle, crush garlic, chilli and salt into a paste. Add tamarind water, honey, lemon juice and mix well. Lightly pound shredded papaya, cucumber, carrot, and sprouts just enough to soften and absorb the dressing (don’t over-crush). Add roasted crushed peanuts and basil, gently mix, and adjust seasoning. Serve fresh.
