What Happened To Our Old Locals 12 Years Later? - Sheffield Pub Crawl

Twelve years ago we were students in Sheffield, and like most students we spent a lot of time down the pub. In this video we’re recreating our old student pub crawl and popping along to some of our old regulars to see what’s changed, what’s survived, and which pubs have disappeared altogether. Kicking off where we used to live, we retrace the route we took so many often back in the day, calling in at the pubs that shaped our student years. Some are still going strong, others have changed ownership, and a couple have sadly closed their doors for good. Sheffield has always been a fantastic pub city, known for its real ale, traditional boozers and busy student scene. But twelve years is a long time, and this crawl turned into a bit of a trip down memory lane. Let me know which boozer was your favourite and where I should visit next. Pubs Visited: Punchbowl Two Sheds Closed Shop - CLOSED Hallamshire House University Arms Red Deer - CLOSED - Usually GBG Benjamin Hunstman (Wetherspoons) As always I do my best to include a mix of GBG and non-GBG venues because whilst I feel the GBG is a great resource it does miss out a few gems!
