#LiveWholeHealth: Music and Movement
So, you don’t dance? Moving to music is more than dancing. Consider the runner who has a favorite playlist, or the gym where loud music plays to motivate the weightlifters. Music can make you forget the work in the workout and increase your enjoyment to the point where exercising is something you look forward to. This 18-minute 26-second video features Matthew G. Lloyd, who is a Neurologic Music Therapist at the VA Central Iowa Health Care System. Matthew plays classic country music on his guitar while guiding us through warm-ups and a gentle set of exercises. This routine is designed for core and lower body strength and allows you to increase strength, endurance and motor control.
