The petition against the restriction of the most polluting vehicles in Milan, promoted by the "Stop Area B" committee, has attracted thousands of signatures just weeks after the introduction of the new law banning the circulation of diesel vehicles up to Euro 5 and gasoline vehicles up to Euro 2. We met with Fabrizio De Pasquale, former city councilor at Palazzo Marino and one of the initiators of the petition. "There is discontent with a wrong measure adopted at the wrong time; it only addresses part of the emissions problem." Another issue is exemptions: local police cars and hundreds of ATM buses are reportedly not respecting the restrictions, but are circulating because they are exempt.
