In the eastern outskirts of Milan, there is a complex of approximately 500 apartments, mostly occupied by seniors. Until 2022, the apartments were owned by Enpam, the doctors' pension fund, which rented them at a pre-arranged rate. Then the decision was made to sell them to Apollo Global Management, a New York-based private equity firm. The firm then assigned the management of the properties to InvestiRE Sgr, part of the Banca Finnat Euramerica Spa group, to put them back on the open market. This is at Milan prices in 2023.
