Blooming Marbles - Lampworking / Flameworking - Studio Session 015 - 104 Demo
Hello my friends! 🌹✨ I’ve been working on these fun Blooming Marbles lately, and I’m excited to share the process with you all! This particular marble features a six-color bloom, but the design can easily be adjusted to suit your own color preferences. The concept is surprisingly simple—sandwiching rounds of dots between layers of clear glass until you reach the size you’re looking for. It’s a technique that creates a beautiful burst of color and depth inside the finished marble.🤗 I’ve also been enjoying exploring opaque color palettes and experimenting with subtle color fades. Some combinations were more successful than others, but every marble taught me something new, and I was happy with the results overall.✨ As for this demo, I accidentally grabbed a rod of older clear glass that turned out to be full of tiny seeds (bubbles)! 😵💫 Rather than switching to a different clear halfway through, I decided to stick with it for consistency throughout the piece. In the final photos, those little seeds are definitely visible—but in the end, I didn’t mind them at all. They gave the marble a fizzy, sparkling quality that I found really charming. 💫✨ Thankfully, this demonstration is much more about the blooming process than the seedy glass, and I hope you’ll enjoy following along.😅🌹🌹 Whether you’re looking for a new marble design to try or simply some inspiration for future projects, I hope this video sparks a few creative ideas of your own!💫 Thanks so much for joining me!
