Switchback Pendants - Lampworking / Flameworking - 102.80 - 104 Glass Demo

Hello my Friends! ✨🌹 Today I’m experimenting with one of my favorite borosilicate patterns — the wigwag (with an axis change) — but this time in soft glass! The difference between soft glass and hard glass is HUGE. 😂 It almost feels like working with an entirely different material. This is a pattern that’s especially challenging in 104 glass because of how soft and fluid it becomes in the flame, but I love a good challenge and really wanted to see if I could make it work. I’m honestly pretty happy with how these turned out, and I can already tell I’ll be making more as I continue trying to tighten and refine the pattern. ✨ The color palette was inspired by some Heddy packaging that completely caught my eye. 😂 Bright lime green, lemon yellow, and the hot pink of my dreams felt perfect together and gave these pendants such a fun, energetic vibe. Because soft glass behaves so differently than borosilicate, the final twist has a looser, more flowing feel instead of the super tight wigwag patterns you can achieve in boro. So for soft glass… I think I’m calling these “Switchbacks” instead. 😅✨ Let me know what you think of these fun little pendants!
