By Justine Akakulubelwa President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says Government will work on the Chama-Lundazi-Chipata Road over the next five years. Addressing a community engagement at Emusa Secondary School Grounds in Chasefu District, President HICHILEMA said Government will also increase support under the Farmer Input Support Programme –FISP- and stabilise the tobacco market. The President said his administration is committed to ensuring that Chasefu, like other districts across the country, receives its fair share of development. He urged residents to support the UPND in the August 13, 2026 General Election, saying the country has made progress over the past five years. President HICHILEMA said voters should safeguard the gains made by supporting the continuation of Government's development programmes. He also called on UPND members to intensify campaigns ahead of polling day and urged eligible voters in Chasefu to turn out in large numbers on August 13, and give the party another mandate.
