NALUMANGO Visits Chieftainess WAITWIKA

By Chansa Kunda Chieftainess WAITWIKA of the Namwanga people in Nakonde District has welcomed Government's Nakonde Airport Project, saying it will boost trade and stimulate the local economy. The traditional leader was speaking when Vice-President MUTALE NALUMANGO paid a courtesy call on her at the palace today. Chieftainess WAITWIKA also thanked Government for constructing chiefs' palaces, saying the initiative will improve the welfare of traditional leaders in the district. Meanwhile, Vice-President NALUMANGO assured the traditional leader of Government's continued support for the education sector, particularly initiatives aimed at increasing access to education for the girl child. Mrs. NALUMANGO said the Government remains committed to implementing development programmes across the country and appealed to Zambians to support President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA and the UPND in the August 13, 2026 General Election to enable the administration to continue with its development agenda.
