Garmin Daily Suggested Workouts Part 2. Pace or Heart Rate?
What is better to use as the effort determinant: pace or heart rate? Possibly, heart rate works better if I am aiming at the goals Garmin set for me. With heart rate as the determinant it appears easier for me to control my pace. I can concentrate better on keeping my heart rate down. When I use pace as a determinant I just want to lapse into my 'natural' pace or 'beat' the goal pace. For me the goal is health and healthy running, and not so much going in races these days. Love my running and I want it to be good for me.
