Pastes de Pachuca: The Cornish Pasty’s Mexican Cousin & the British Miners Who Brought It

These British immigrants arrived in Real del Monte, Hidalgo, and with them came their iconic pasty, which was eventually adapted with local Mexican ingredients. Today, I’m teaching you how to make the classic beef and potato paste – filling, golden, and perfect for lunch on the go. No fork needed!
