Before The Block Named Me

BEFORE THE BLOCK NAMED ME is Track 1 from Part I RECRUITED BY PAIN in the series THE WAR BEHIND THE STREETS. This track begins before the reputation, the organization, the street name, and the criminal record. It looks at the child underneath the armor—the person who may have entered the lifestyle searching for protection, belonging, identity, family, or a way to survive. This is not a song of condemnation. It recognizes that many people were surrounded by violence, instability, poverty, abandonment, addiction, and street politics before they were ever shown another way to live. What first appeared to be brotherhood and protection could slowly become obligation, control, retaliation, paranoia, and loss. The enemy does not always introduce bondage as bondage. Sometimes he disguises it as family, loyalty, respect, protection, and power. But before the streets assigned a name, God already knew the person underneath it. This track plants the first seed. Your history explains many of your wounds, but it does not have to control your final destination. Jesus still sees the human being beneath the hardened identity, and transformation can begin with one honest thought: Maybe I was made for more than this. No profanity No condemnation No crime glorification Only truth transformation and an open door #BeforeTheBlockNamedMe #TheWarBehindTheStreets #RecruitedByPain #ChristianRap #GangstaRap #TrapMusic #HorrorcoreRap #StreetMinistry #CycleBreaker #JesusChangesLives
