In today's diary entry, I'll tell you how I uploaded my vehicle registration documents to the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) app. At the vehicle registration office, I received a QR code for a fee of €5 per document, which I used to upload my vehicle data. It's also possible without a QR code from the registration office; in that case, you'll need your ID card and PIN. Otherwise, you simply present your ID card at the registration office. Uploading the data was very easy and worked perfectly. The advantage is that you can keep your vehicle registration documents safe and only need your smartphone. The police can also access the data directly during a traffic stop. At 99 percent of vehicle inspection stations (HU), the inspection date is also automatically uploaded – very convenient. Then I'll show you how I changed the oil on my Skyteam 125. You need purely mineral oil; in warmer climates, 10W-40 with the JASO MA2 standard for motorcycles is recommended due to the wet clutch. I installed a new magnetic oil drain plug (12x1.5), which magnetically traps the metal shavings and thus helps minimize wear. A 17mm wrench is needed, and the plug is tightened to 25 Nm. The oil capacity is 0.9 liters, plus 0.1 liters in my case because of the additional oil cooler, totaling exactly one liter. Since it's a new vehicle, oil changes are recommended at 300, 600, and 100,000 km, but I've now done the first one early at 180,000 km.
