Psalm 23 ~ an amplified translation for personal study by W. Baskin מִזְמוֹר לְדָוִד Dedication: A carefully pruned melody of David | Beloved Access Bound To Beloved Access [A Doorway of The Doorway]. בִּנְאוֹת דֶּשֶׁא יַרְבִּיצֵנִי עַל־מֵי מְנֻחוֹת יְנַהֲלֵנִי 2In lush and safe meadows of fresh sprouting vitality He creates and causes the conditions to rest in total security and lie in complete protection for myself; upon waters symbolic of an inherited place to rest and reflective of a final arrival, He repeatedly escorts calmly and carefully leads me. נַפְשִׁי יְשׁוֹבֵב יַנְחֵנִי בְּמַעְגְּלֵי־צֶדֶק לְמַעַן שְׁמוֹ 3The totality of my being, He repeatedly reverses to the original source and restores; He desires to carefully guide and cause the calm escorting of myself upon well-worn and obvious paths of correct alignment for the sake of the name and renown of His. גַּם כִּי־אֵלֵךְ בְּגֵיא צַלְמָוֶת לֹא אִירָא רָע כִּי־אַתָּה עִמָּדִי שִׁבְטְךָ וּמִשְׁעַנְתֶּךָ הֵמָּה יְנַחֲמֻנִי 4Moreover, because I move about and journey within the low lying path of testing where the vacating of life pursues and overshadows, I will not be acknowledging the authority of pain that destroys what is good—because You are right next to me. The instrument of guidance of Yours as well as the source to lean on for support of Yours—they themselves are repeatedly comforting and having compassion on myself. תַּעֲרֹךְ לְפָנַי שֻׁלְחָן נֶגֶד צֹרְרָי דִּשַּׁנְתָּ בַשֶּׁמֶן רֹאשִׁי כּוֹסִי רְוָיָה 5You are setting forth and arranging as an act of bestowment before the presence/face of myself a table symbolic of extension opposite of those constricting and oppressing myself; You repeatedly enrich by anointing with the oil of enduring abundance and favor, the head of mine—the cup symbolic of the allotted destiny of mine, it is overflowing and abundant. אַךְ טוֹב וָחֶסֶד יִרְדְּפוּנִי כָּל־יְמֵי חַיַּי וְשַׁבְתִּי בְּבֵית־יְהוָה לְאֹרֶךְ יָמִים 6Only that which is beneficial to welfare as well as steadfast love and cherished loyalty, they will be vehemently pursuing after and chasing me the entirety of the days of the lives of mine; so then I will return back to the source in the House of YHWH for a prolonging length of days.
