Both Ecclesbourne Valley Railway & Peak Rail located in the Peak District host their Spring Diesel Gala with a range of different locomotives in operation from BR Class 02s to mighty mainline class 47s. Day 1 starts at Peak Rail where we walk the full length of the line from Rowsley Station to Matlock via Darley Dale. Stopping off at various locations along the way to spot the trains.
