Mom Red Fox Catches 4 Rabbits, 1 Bird & 5 Rodents in 24 Hours for Her 7 Hungry Pups

Mom red fox, Sage, catches 4 rabbits, 5 small rodents, and a bird (maybe a crow?) for her seven pups in 24 hours. She also nurses them 4 times. Every 2 hours, she arrives at the den with another prey item! It really amazes me how quickly she can catch prey to feed her pups. Each time she leaves to hunt, she is never gone for longer than 2 hours. Of course, she could be resting somewhere alone off camera for a while and not hunting for the entire time she is gone. Or she could be hunting for herself and eating her food off camera, since the cameras don't see her eating much at the den. Because she is back so frequently with food, the pups don't seem to fight too much. Except when she brings the adult rabbit. One fox pup successfully fights all the others for that rabbit and eats it for over an hour. This is the first time I have noticed a pup being this dominant over prey. This footage is from April 28th-29th; the pups are almost 2 months old.
