Gothic Remake: Quentin's Outlaws

Time to finally become a Water Mage, because being a High Fire Mage while hanging around with the Mercenaries just doesn't feel right. The task of finding the Temple of Adanos isn't particularly difficult, especially when, during the Mercenary initiation quest, you spend quite a bit of time on the very beach from which the temple is clearly visible. And considering how curious I am, there was absolutely no chance I would've seen it from afar and not gone there to investigate. So, already knowing where to go and having a pretty good idea of what I would need to do, I decided to stop by Quentin's Outlaws at Lee's request and see what they were all about. Especially since I had already briefly visited them while searching for the Focus Stone in the canyon. As a result, this video turned from "becoming a Water Mage" into "Quentin's Outlaws", simply because there was far more interesting content there than in the rather straightforward Water Mage initiation quest. The actual quest was incredibly simple: find the temple and pull two levers. To be honest, I still don't fully understand why I had to solve the puzzle that way. I just filled one pillar with water, pulled another lever, the water somehow redistributed itself among two pillars, and that was it. A rather strange puzzle. The Outlaws, on the other hand, gave me plenty to do. I ended up returning to the Old Camp prison, got involved in a few fights there, and, rather unexpectedly, had to beat up a few people. NPC reactions in this game can be really strange at times. They tell you to do dirty jobs, but then immediately get angry when you actually do it. Or they warn you about bad behavior and then attack you literally a second later without giving you any chance to fix the situation. I also visited the Outlaws' camp itself. Unfortunately, it was nighttime, so most people were asleep. I suspect there would've been a lot more conversations during the day. For example, I never even managed to find their blacksmith. And, of course, I finally met Quentin himself. Seems like a decent guy, though he clearly has some unresolved issues with mages. Which was pretty funny, considering that at that exact moment I was both a Fire Mage and in the process of becoming a Water Mage. And yes, I finally became a Water Mage and gained access to Circle 5 magic. A true master of fire and water.
