If you remember, two weeks ago I photographed several large, red pieces stacked up in that area of ​​the old parking lot. Well, today they're all assembled, and together they've reached a considerable size. Now, what's the purpose of all this new metal structure? I imagine it has something to do with the hole that's still there due to the Cercanías commuter rail works, and perhaps it will help close it up. It's impossible to know for sure, but with that size and shape, that's the only thing I can think of. It's also clear to me that, given its size, it must be quite heavy, and it will be lifted with a mobile crane, perhaps the same one used to install the new VIP lounge in P2. If not the same one, something similar. Because we're talking about several tons of weight there, and a tower crane, for example, can't lift that. In theory, they're not working on that section of the commuter rail line tomorrow or Monday, so we'll have to wait until next week to see what they do with all of that. I'll be back in two weeks, so I imagine I won't see it on the ground, and I wonder if I'll be able to see it installed, because perhaps it's underground. I have no idea. Regarding the other things, let's first look at the new access points from the Glorieta de Carlos V roundabout. They're filling in the green spaces with more earth, while the brick walls are taking their final shape. Today I couldn't film from the usual wall because they're doing construction on the ground nearby, but you can still see the progress. I mentioned it two weeks ago, and I'll say it again: in theory, that part of the work should be finished in July. The same goes for the tropical garden, where the loss of greenery is evident from the very beginning. That was already known, so it's not surprising, but it is sad, at least for me. The usable space for passengers and travelers is being expanded, while the wooded areas are being reduced. P3B still hasn't opened, but what can I say? Everything looks so finished from the outside... Today they were painting near P3, some flooring, nothing major, but there are hardly any workers left, and all the exterior plazas are painted perfectly. There are a few barriers left to install, maybe a lamppost or two, but little else. I hope it will be operational by my next visit because that will practically kick off the work on P2. There, by the way, they're still working on the new VIP lounge, mainly on the interior, because as you know, the exterior arrived practically finished. There's not much else to highlight, that's for sure. We'll see if we have better luck on the next visit and can find something interesting new. Happy Thursday!
