Mentan Amran Bersama 150 Mahasiswa Papua Gagas Gerakan Kembali Berkebun!

Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, along with 150 Papuan students, initiated the "Back to Gardening Movement" as a step to build a community economy based on local potential. In a dialogue with the Indonesian Papuan Student Association in Jakarta, Minister Amran encouraged young Papuans to utilize family land to develop superior commodities such as sweet potatoes, coffee, nutmeg, sago, cocoa, and livestock, so they can become job creators in their regions. As a concrete support, Minister Amran is providing an additional five hectares of land for Papuan students who already manage seven hectares of agricultural land, and is preparing an additional 100 hectares of coffee for young farmers in Highland Papua. The government will also provide agricultural equipment to support local food development, particularly sweet potatoes in Central Papua and Highland Papua.
