"The university is not just lecture halls and libraries, but also a space where nature intertwines with science, and the daily work of many people often remains invisible," Barbara Siedlicka, head of the University of Warsaw's Green Space Section, discusses the care of campus greenery in the next episode of the "mUWi się" series. This interview with Barbara Siedlicka covers the behind-the-scenes work of the University of Warsaw's Green Space Section and the daily care of campus green spaces – the specific nature of the gardeners' work, dependent on the seasons and weather conditions, as well as the long-term planting planning that takes into account climate change and the historical character of the university space. She also discusses the history of the creation and operation of the University Library rooftop garden, one of the university's most important landmarks. In March 2026, Barbara Siedlicka was awarded the Gold Cross of Merit.
