Located in Tsuruhashi, Osaka, Chiruchan Naengmyeon is a popular restaurant where long lines often form. The restaurant is run by Mr. Haruyama, the founder of the well-known Reimainkan (Cold Noodle House). Drawing on decades of experience, he now works side by side with his wife, carefully preparing every bowl. One of the restaurant's defining features is that the noodles are made only after each order is placed. Using a noodle press, every serving is freshly prepared, creating exceptional firmness and a smooth texture that can only be enjoyed immediately after production. Unlike many Korean cold noodles, their naengmyeon contains no buckwheat flour. Carefully selected ingredients and a unique recipe produce noodles with a smooth mouthfeel and satisfying elasticity. Their Bibim Noodles are made with sweet potato starch, giving them a pleasantly chewy texture. The soup, an essential part of naengmyeon, is prepared using a recipe that has been refined over many years. While preserving the original flavor developed since the restaurant's founding, the recipe continues to evolve. The restaurant attracts local regulars, visitors from across Japan, and international tourists alike. During the summer season, waiting lines are a common sight.
