Foxes Catch Geese for Pups

In early May, the foxes begin to bring back goslings to their puppies at the den because the Canadian geese family visits the beaver dam so their little goslings can eat. The goslings eat grasses and I wonder if the reason geese families like to eat in people's yards and parks is because their goslings are safer from predators there than in the wild. This fox family caught at least 6 goslings over three days. There are many geese families here, so I like to think they they didn't catch them all from the same goose family, but I do not know. Sometimes we see up to 21 goslings following two adults swimming in the water, but I read the average clutch size is 5-7 goslings, so the adult geese must be baby sitting other's goslings. The dam and little creeks near it are also where my cameras see lots of muskrats, which is also a favorite prey of the foxes.
