Gotthard-Bahntage 2025 – Elefant, Krokodil und Re 6/6 auf der Nordrampe | SwissRails

On September 13, 2025, the Gotthard Railway Days took place in Erstfeld, where numerous visitors were able to experience the impressive public rides on the historic Gotthard mountain line. In the late summer weather, legendary locomotives such as the steam locomotive C 5/6 “Elephant,” the “Crocodile” Ce 6/8 II, and the Re 6/6 rolled over the northern ramp – a true spectacle for railfans. The rides ran from Erstfeld to Göschenen and back, offering impressive scenes along the steep mountain route. This video exclusively shows impressions from Saturday – additional rides with the same vehicles also took place on Sunday.
