On June 14, 2025, the Erlebniszug San Gottardo invites you on a nostalgic journey across the legendary Gotthard mountain line – hauled by the historic electric locomotive “Crocodile”. On this full-day trip from Erstfeld to Lavorgo and back, guests enjoy impressive spiral tunnels, alpine views, and free access to the stylish train ambiance of bygone days. The Ce 6/8 II No. 14253 – also known as the “Urkrokodil” – is the oldest operational electric locomotive in Switzerland and a technical monument with over 100 years of storied history.
