Life and Quartzite Stories

Recently a Viewer made a suggestion in the channel comments section. "If you told stories like Paul Harvey we would listen". My first reaction was to reject the idea. But then I thought about it and decided it was a good idea. It has been awhile since I just sat down and told stories without working even from a rough script. I had a good time. Firstly I had a mechanical issue which needed to be addressed. So I decided to head over to Quartzsite, Arizona to have it checked. Quartzsite is the nomad Mecca and there is an auto and truck repair place there I've always had good luck with. The guys at Best Auto told me not to worry about it... I'll keep an eye on it but the visit made my day. Secondly while camping in Bouse I have been treated to several visits from there county Helicopter Medical Choppers for the time I have been here. When the choppers come at night ... it's magic. Thirdly the Paul Harvey reference jogged my memories of riding the trains to Chicago's loop to visit the radio stations. Finally visiting Dome Rock ... the campground in Quartzsite... Made me recall a time when Jesus visited my campsite. Was it Jesus? My friend Pam certainly thought so. See you in the story. Anyone who knows me is well aware of how much I love to tell stories. And I have a lot of them. They're not prison or war stories. But they are my stories. And I like telling them. Furthermore I really appreciate my the growing community for the Bob Davis Podcasts on YouTube. Again I am impressed with the positivity people display in the comments. And you guys make some pretty good suggestions too. As a rule I am not driven so much my audience 'requests' but when there's a good idea I am willing to give it a try. So thank you. Finally I remain sort of 'stuck' in the desert. I am still waiting on parts for the final reconstruction of a door destroyed in a collision earlier this spring. It's been quite an ordeal staying on top of it. And if you do any kind of work on trucks you know how hard it is to find parts and to get them shipped. Especially when it is a 26 year old specialty truck. But we're getting it done. I 'should' be on the road pretty soon. That means a rich harvest of new stories to tell. Thanks for watching. #nomadlife #freightliner #freightliinerclassic #quartzsite #stories #chicago #illinoiscentral #radio #radiostories #helicoptershot #helicopter #ambulance #Jesus #vanlife #rvlife #skoolielife #boondock
