Our neighbor Mike flew down from the UK to help us put a proper long term fix in place and after checking in with the mairie (the town hall) we got the green light to finally sort it out. It is an eventful few days too because Philippe accidentally hits a water pipe feeding the house, but it gets fixed quickly so the work can continue. We also close the rest of the driveway now that the concrete pad has hardened, mow the grass for the first time this year and make a few changes to our battery system. And to end the week we plant a linden tree, Tilia cordata, through a local Dordogne program that gives a native tree for every birth. We are calling it the Odin and Gracie tree. If you didn't get a chance to watch our Year 2 recap, you can find it here: • We Bought An Abandoned Farm In France. Two... Year 1 here: • We Bought An Abandoned Farm in France - On... °°° Our Story: We're Philippe, Anicia and our little explorers are Odin & Gracie. In the summer of 2023, we left the comforts of our lives in Belgium and purchased an old farmhouse in the south of France, specifically in the Dordogne region. We produce weekly videos documenting our progress on the property, with the ultimate goal of renovating it and restoring it to its former glory. Join us on our journey of transforming this French homestead as we aim for a simpler, yet more fulfilling life closer to nature. #france #homestead #offgrid #farmhouse #movingtofrance #frenchcountryside #renovation #renovationproject #countryside #building #countrylife #restoration #slowlife #renovating #youngfamily #renovatinginfrance #restoration #slowliving #offgridliving #barn #barnrenovation #slowlife #hardwork #family #restoration #DIY #property #building #bobcat #thwaites #sewage #timelapse #justrussel °°° MUSIC | We use epidemic sounds for our music: https://www.epidemicsound.com/music/f...
