Philippe starts building borders around the raised beds using the stones we already have on the property, a natural resource that was just sitting here waiting to be used. It is slow, heavy work, sorting through a big pile to find the right stones, loading the wheelbarrow, and pushing it uphill to the garden. But little by little, the space starts to take shape and it finally feels like a garden that is inviting you in and ready for the first seeds of the season. In between the garden work, we also install the solar panels and battery system from Jackery and start making some important upgrades to the way we use and manage our energy at home. If you didn't get a chance to watch our Year 2 recap, you can find it here:    • We Bought An Abandoned Farm In France. Two...   Year 1 here:    • We Bought An Abandoned Farm in France - On...   °°° Our Story: We're Philippe, Anicia and our little explorers are Odin & Gracie. In the summer of 2023, we left the comforts of our lives in Belgium and purchased an old farmhouse in the south of France, specifically in the Dordogne region. We produce weekly videos documenting our progress on the property, with the ultimate goal of renovating it and restoring it to its former glory. Join us on our journey of transforming this French homestead as we aim for a simpler, yet more fulfilling life closer to nature. #france #homestead #farmhouse #movingtofrance #frenchcountryside #renovation #renovationproject #countryside #building #countrylife #restoration #slowlife #renovating #youngfamily #renovatinginfrance #restoration #slowliving #barn #barnrenovation #slowlife #hardwork #family #restoration #DIY #Jackery #JackerySolarVault3 #S3Pro #batteriesolaireplugandplay #solarenergynews °°° MUSIC | We use epidemic sounds for our music: https://www.epidemicsound.com/music/f...
