Thursday, Week 13: Tomasito with Gabi - Acryla Gouache on Paper (09/04/2020)

Today is our fourth day in Gouache Week! I've realized something after doing 68 videos this year. If I don't have fun, this whole project is pretty much pointless. Painting will always be challenging, ALWAYS, it never gets easier. But what we can control, is the fact that what we do brings a smile to our face. And today, while I continue to concentrate on the formal aspects of how to put paint down with gouache, I wanted to do a quirky painting about the real owners of this universe - cats. Yes, we have to mourn her, we've lost Gabi, she's now under the control of Tomasito. Not much we can do now, but accept that all the art that's being produced by her has been done under the suppressive, almond shaped eye of little brother. Her eyes once brimming with hope, overnight have turned opaque, she's been blinded. CATaracts perhaps???
