Monday, Week 13 : Shelter - Gouache Week, Acryla Gouache on Paper (06/04/2020)

Welcome back! Today we're starting off Gouache week! I have to admit that water soluble mediums are not very easy for me. They don't lend themselves to the manner in which I paint, and by that I mean that I've worked very hard at acquiring enough bad habits throughout the years, and they definitely and obtrusively show up when I'm painting in watercolor or gouache. I tend to be overly tentative, and because my discipline in keeping my palette clean is usually non-existent when I paint in oils, my decisions are not as clean as I would like them to be. So join us this week, as we tackle gouache! Not quite the nemesis that is watercolor, but still an opponent that constantly puts me on the ropes!
