Friday, Week 1: Seppe - Portraits In Different Lighting Conditions (10/01/2020)
Last day Week 1! We made it! It's been crazy hard work, but it's also been a blast for both Dani and myself. Today we're blowin' it up! Blown out lights are usually thought of as terrible sources for painting, because a ton of information is lost. But if we teach ourselves to see every single moment in our lives as opportunities that scream to be painted, we no longer have to make or understand paintings in solely traditional manners. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE and RESPECT our painting tradition, but I also think it's up to us to use everything that surrounds us in order to rediscover, redefine painting and make it relevant not for the art world, but for each and every one of US, TODAY!
