Tallaght Buses | June 2023

A video showing the bus services around Tallaght (south Dublin), recorded in June 2023. The last visit to Tallaght was in February 2022 (   • Tallaght Buses | February 2022  ), and was only a short one, concentrating on the Belgard Square West area beside The Square shopping centre. This time, more of Tallaght is shown, starting in the historic village and ending up at the shopping centre. Tallaght is served by both Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead Ireland. The former operates the radial routes that connect the area with the city centre. Routes 49 and 56A terminate at The Square, while routes 27, 54A, 65 and 77A pass through on their way to Jobstown, Kiltipper, Blessington and Citywest respectively. Go-Ahead Ireland operate the orbital routes to the area. Again the 75 and 76 (providing connections to Dun Laoghaire and Chapelizod respectively) terminate at The Square, while the 175 passes through Tallaght as it operates between UCD Belfield and Citywest. (Since this video was recorded, Go-Ahead Ireland have started operating two new routes, W4 and W62, to Tallaght under Bus Connects Phase 5A). Finally, Bus Eireann makes an appearance in this video. Although the bus in the video is not displaying a route number, the 132 from Bunclody and Tullow sets-down in Tallaght on its way to Dublin, and picks-up in the opposite direction. Two non-public utility buses, operated by Dublin Bus, also feature in this video - a training bus and the Community Bus.
