After all the delicious Argentine food we tried on our first day at the Masticar Mar y Sierra Fair, we had to go back for more! We brought our appetites again, and this time we tried dishes like: 1) Green curry with flavored rice, squid, and the catch of the day 2) Seafood escabeche 3) Sirloin steak sandwich with red and yellow bell peppers 4) Sambayón cannoli with almonds and chocolate 5) Lasagna Bolognese 6) Patagonia Amber Red Beer 7) Ham and cheese calzone 8) White chocolate cannoli with dulce de leche If you happen to be in Mar del Plata during the Masticar Mar y Sierra Fair, you have to go! At this Argentine food fair, you can find food stands from the most famous chefs and restaurants in the country. The food is delicious, and there are so many dishes to try! 🍽️🎉 Masticar Fair in Mar del Plata: Tasting, Street Food, and Unmissable Ice Cream 🍦🥩 🌞👫 Last Day at the Masticar Fair! Today we returned to the Masticar Fair in Mar del Plata with the goal of trying everything we missed yesterday. We arrived hungry and eager to explore the flavors offered by this incredible food fair. 🥢🍛 We Started with Green Seafood Curry We started with a green seafood curry: catch of the day, squid, flavored rice, pumpkin, and red peppers, all tossed in a Thai-style sauce with fresh seafood. Highly recommended, aromatic, and delicious dish. Price: 120 pesos. 🦑🥗 Cold Seafood Salad We continued with a cold seafood salad: red onion, cilantro, carrot, celery, red bell pepper, and a touch of olive oil. Fresh, ideal for summer. Price: 120 pesos. 🥩🥪 La Cabrera Sirloin Steak Sandwich One of the day's biggest hits: sirloin steak served on bread, with tomato, onion, bell peppers, and all the flavor of the best Argentine beef. Juicy meat, huge portion, irresistible. Price: 150 pesos. 🍨🍫 Dessert Must-Have! Cannoli & Helados Italia Next stop: Cannoli from Helados Italia. They recommended the ice cream and cannoli, so we tried both. Filled cannoli, covered in chocolate, with almonds and a touch of egg and port. The verdict: Spectacular! Much better than just ice cream, a whole new level of dessert. Price: 150 pesos. 🍝🍅 Lasagna Bolognese with Pesto We continued the tour with lasagna Bolognese with tomato and a bit of pesto. Homemade pasta, flavorful sauce, and a perfect gratin. Price: 150 pesos. 🍺🍃 Patagonia Beer & Buena Onda Time to cool off with a Patagonia beer, smooth and fresh, perfect for accompanying all this food. The stand is super popular and has a great vibe. We're already getting ready for our next destination: Patagonia! 🥐🧀 Mini Ham and Cheese Calzones We couldn't leave without trying the classics: freshly baked mini calzones filled with ham and cheese, super warm and flavorful. Price: 120 pesos. 🍦🍬 We'd Go Again: White Chocolate and Dulce de Leche Cannoli We went back for a white chocolate cannoli filled with dulce de leche at Helados Italia because the first one was so delicious. Price: 140 pesos. 🎶🎵 Music, Joy, and a Final Thought We rounded out our visit to the fair by enjoying the live music, the festive atmosphere, and all the good things Masticar has to offer.
