Video of the finished marble:    • Vortex Marble Handmade by Bill Grout 2.17"...   I first made a Box Cane, which is then laid in spiraling bands to line the interior. The background has blue green frit sprinkled on top of a reflective gold fumed base. The back side is decorated with raked lines of black, aqua blue, and slyme floating over the reflective silver fumed base. Colors used in this build: Star White, Black Jet, Opaque Aqua, Electrum, Blue Green frit, and Slyme. Learning and exploring new ideas for artistic handmade designs in glass is an ongoing journey. The hot glass heats up, glows orange, and is carefully manipulated to create a smooth, round form, highlighting the intricate skills involved in its making. It's truly amazing to see the creation of such a beautiful piece by hand by a skilled artist.
