04 Day 1 Restoration | Building Tent Pad | Meeting with Builders | Clearing Brush | Start of Work!

The restoration kicks off for real! We spent the days leading up to the big day building a tent pad as a day camp spot away from the construction activities. We also had a kick-off meeting at the site with our builders, geometra, and structural engineer. Lastly, we scrubbed the overgrown weeds and debris from a planting "triangle" so we can better see the shape of the land and existing stone walls. Whether it's the muffled silence shrouded in mist; birds chirping excitedly on a perfect spring day; or the cacophony of bells as the cows munch on verdant grass in our meadow, the sounds at the cabin are magical!
