The restoration continues to focus on completing the roofs and making exterior structural alterations. It's a race towards closing in the cabin ahead of the cold that is just around the corner. Seeing our original stone tiles returning to the roof and giving them new life over a solid foundation is truly gratifying for us. We sampled foraged chestnuts as this is the season. Over a glorious weekend, we explored surrounding hills and experienced the majesty of this valley. Finally, much of the scaffolding came down to once again reveal the stone cabin proud with its new, old, roof! This is a longer episode than our usual but we loved the steady pace of work against the serene backdrop of the sights and sounds of the Cottian Alps. It's slow TV and we're good with that!
