21 Building a Terrace | Electricians are Here | The Cows are Back | Restoring a 300 Year Old Baita

The valley is turning green and the cows are returning to the hills. Since we were last here, plumbing and HVAC rough-ins have been completed. The terrace is quickly taking shape with the building of what we call the "plinth", a 120cm wide x 18cm high platform that runs the length of the cabin. The electrical rough-ins are in progress and will finish in the coming days. We also witnessed the installation of giant boulders that are needed to shore up a portion of the slope that's been disturbed in the course of the works. All the while, the work continues on cladding the retaining wall in stone.
