VENETO TRAIL 2023 PART 2 - Start to Asiago

24th June 2023 (Saturday) The beginning for Veneto Trail. We were all excited for this. Finally get to start the event~ It was such a beautiful start to the day, with amazing trails and wonderful sceneries. It got quite hot towards noon as we went uphill at the loose rocks section, which wasn’t easy. At 60KM we had a good refill of water at the checkpoint. The last hurdle towards Asiago wasn’t easy too with more uphill climbs to do. Finally reaching Asiago around 5pm and finally decided to stay because: 1) Quite exhausted 2) No dinner place was opened until 7pm 3) Clouds were gathered We initially planned to go further from Asiago to find a place to camp but finally settled at Alberto Speranza, and then had a good shower, and some groceries shopping before finding a place for dinner (which was hard because most places only accepted reservation). But thankful for the nice hot meal that we managed to get. And also thankful that we completed the first day safely though it was really tiring. More to go for Day 2…
