Government has signed contracts worth nearly K4.9 billion for the rehabilitation and upgrading of the 212-kilometre Livingstone–Sesheke Road and key sections of the Chipata–Lundazi Road, marking the transition from planning and procurement to implementation. The Livingstone–Sesheke project will be delivered by Sino-Hydro Corporation Limited in joint venture with Nchifar Enterprises Limited, while the Chipata–Lundazi Road will be constructed by China Geo Engineering Corporation.
