President Hakainde Hichilema Pushes for Faster Delivery of Lusaka–Ndola Dual Carriageway
President Hakainde Hichilema has directed the contractor working on the Lusaka–Ndola Dual Carriageway in Kabwe to increase the pace of construction and complete the remaining works as quickly as possible. During his visit to the town today, the President also confirmed that the contractor will undertake the construction of new township roads in Kabwe, extending the scope of works beyond the dual carriageway. Works through the Central Business District are now in their final stages, with one side expected to open soon, while the 23-kilometre Kabwe Bypass continues advancing toward completion. Once fully operational, the bypass will divert heavy haulage traffic away from the town centre, easing congestion, improving safety and reducing damage to local roads.
