Western Province has the potential to become one of Zambia's first billion-dollar regional tourism economies. With an international airport, modern lodge capacity, stronger conservation investment and integration into regional safari circuits linking Angola, Namibia, Botswana and Livingstone, the province could realistically generate between US$1 billion and US$2.5 billion annually from tourism over the long term. That level of economic activity would support thousands of jobs across aviation, hospitality, agriculture, transport, construction, conservation and local enterprise while earning valuable foreign exchange for Zambia.
