This time, I took my RTS R165 — originally a daily commuter — straight to one of southern Taiwan’s most iconic mountain roads, Route 24 in Wutai. For me, this road is more than just a mountain pass. It’s a place where you truly get to rediscover your bike. Tight corners, continuous rhythm, and noticeable elevation changes — if a bike feels comfortable and fun here, then it’s more than just a means of transportation. And this time, I wanted to find out one thing: for me, the RTS R165 — a bike built for city commuting — can it really hold up on mountain roads? Its strengths in the city are obvious: agile, responsive, and direct power delivery. But once you move into the mountains, with a faster pace and increased load, everything gets amplified.
