I’ve spent quite a bit of time riding the G7 recently, and I’ve also shared some of the differences I noticed between it and the RTS R165. As a result, some viewers started wondering: Have I become more critical of the RTS R165 after riding the G7? But it’s not that the RTS suddenly became a bad scooter. When you experience something new, the strengths, weaknesses, and ideal use cases of what you were already familiar with simply become clearer. The RTS R165 is still a distinctive performance-oriented commuter scooter. Its short wheelbase, agile handling, and direct acceleration still make it uniquely enjoyable to ride through city traffic. But after riding the G7, it also makes me wonder: If a future RTS adopts the second-generation electric boost system and receives further refinements to its overall setup, could it become even more appealing? This video isn’t about declaring which scooter is better. I simply want to share my honest impressions after riding both of them. Comparison can be painful.
